CONTEST #2 Wrap-up

NSP Contest Fundraiser Contest - September 28, 2010 Update

I think this contest went very well. Thanks to the Springfield Skate Park and Classic Board Shop we have had the best contest to date. We had so many people enter it was difficult to hold the HIGH OLLIE Contest, in which Mark Vote & Tyler Chapman, ridin' for Classic Skate Shop, tied for the win. The pic below show just how big the ollies were...

More pics coming soon!

We are pleased to announce that Meek's Lumber has donated over $300 worth of lumber to the Nixa Skate Park Committee. We are using that wood to build additional obstacles for fundraising at contests/demos.

Thanks again Meek's! We are grateful for your donation!

Contest #1 Wrap-up

July 2010 skate park fundraiser contest - July 26th, 2010 Update

The contest was a success. Good showing for a Monday crowd, cooler than expected (outside) temperatures made the day tolerable weather wise. But an overall good time was had by all. If anyone has any photo's from the contest that they want to share, send them and we'll post'em.

Here are the breakdowns of the winners from each of the three divisions.

Special thanks to Classic Boards for their generous donation.

Also a shout out to Untitled Skateboards for their sponsorship of this contest.

Thank you to everyone who helped with the prizes.

Thank you for your support!

I also wanted to give the Springfield Skate Park a big hefty thanks!

Look for these donation cards at your local shops!

We have launched the new Nixa Skate Park Donation Card fundraising effort. We will be
meeting with businesses around the community to ask if they would like to assist us in selling these
donation cards to help increase our fundraising total. We've got lots of cards to sell, so tell your friends and donate whenever you see these cards at the market, the bank or the gas station.

Special thanks to Print Group for the printing of the cards!

Special Thanks!

We would like to send out a special thanks to the Ramey Price Cutter Grocery Stores for a significant contribution to our skate park fund. We are extremely grateful for their contribution to the Nixa Skate Park Fund!

If you are interested in making a donation you can contact us through our website or simply send your donation into the foundation office (info below).

Our Plan

The Nixa Skate Park Committee has been working to build a good foundation on which we can begin fundraising for Nixa's first public skate park. Although it will take some time to gather the necessary funds we must stay committed to raising all of the money needed. This will take time and effort and can only grow if the community stands along side us.
Please check back often to our website to get updates on our fundraising and activities to bring us closer to our goal. We need your help and donations!

How Can You Donate?

Donations can be mailed (at this time we don't have an online donation program) to:

Community Foundation of the Ozarks / Nixa Skate Park Fund
                   425 E. Trafficway
                   Springfield, MO 65806

 Partnership Donations
We encourage you to stop into these businesses and let them know you appreciate their help in raising money for Nixa's First Public Skate Park!
If you would like to donate a little more  than some change we have levels of giving that provide a way of being recognized for your partnership. The levels of giving are -

    Flatland level ($100 - $249)
Each person that donates between $100 and $249 will get their name on a
sign displayed in the skate area.

   Street level ($250 - $749)

Each person that donates between $250 and $749 will get their name engraved
on a granite paver. Each paver is sized at 4” x 8”.

   Vert level ($750 - $1,500)
Each person that donates between $750 and $1500 will get their name engraved
on the side of the skate park memorial monument. This will be a
freestanding granite monument that will be displayed in the park.

 Legendary ($1,501 and above)
Contact the committee for more information

If you are interested in making a donation in one of the levels above you can contact us through our website or simply send your donation into the foundation office (info above).
